Dan Lorenzo Leonard

Writer + Actor

Dan Lorenzo Leonard was born in Berkeley, Illinois,  and knew at the age of two that he wanted to be an actor. He honed his craft at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and is an award-winning actor and writer, with a passion for storytelling both in front of and behind the camera.

In 2010, he began writing, and his acclaimed short film "Self Help," which he wrote, produced, directed, and starred in, earned multiple honors, including Best Short Film at Indie Fest, Best Faith-Based Project at Action On Film, and Best Short Screenplay at the Marina Del Rey Film Festival. Lorenzo also won Best Actor for Self Help at the Chaplin Short Film Awards. The film is currently available to stream on Amazon.

His feature films, Into Tartarus and American Hun Story, which he wrote, produced, and starred in, are streaming on all platforms. He can also be seen in the feature films "The Girl on the Mountain" and "Pale Horse," now streaming. His most recent project, a feature documentary, Being An Actor, which he wrote, produced, and starred in, is currently making the rounds at film festivals.

Lorenzo will be receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Screenwriting for Film & Television in 2026. Deeply committed and hardworking, he is passionate about acting, writing, and filmmaking—and would consider it an honor to contribute his talents to anyone.
